He may have had the cop lie face down which gave him the seconds he needs to get away….temporarily.

Hmm I don’t have a lot of faith in that situation the yute isn’t going to shoot me regardless.

I thought all cops were supposed to (or strongly encouraged) to carry even when they are off duty? Heard a cop say that years ago.

He probably was carrying, but if a punk gets the drop on you, nothing you can do.

Guess the race of the cop while you’re at it.

I'm trying to understand why second-degree battery and simple robbery don't land this "kid" in the adult prison.

Because while nobody was paying attention this past session the LA legislature and JBE made a law raising the age a juvenile can be charged as an adult to 17. 16 and under cannot be charged as an adult for any crimes.

That’s right, instead of even attempting to address the wave of juvenile crime in Louisiana by creating more juvenile detention centers and improving and hardening the existing juvie jails, they pass a law that will put more criminals back on the street because juvie beds are full and they cannot be sent to big boy jail.

He’ll be back on the streets by 9am tomorrow and no one will know who he is because it isn’t legal to release that turds name or picture.

Where are they getting these cops? NOLA has less than 900 total cops right now and half of those are admin types.

Why is an off-duty officer not carrying?

Maybe he was drinking and that would be illegal to go in and out of bars with it

Just another of thousands of reason for me not to set foot in NOLA again. Damn shame as it was a great place once upon a time.
