Saw Randy Rhodes with Ozzy not long before his death. Great show and til this day , the loudest concert I’ve ever attended.

Chester Bennington. That death hurt. I went home from work that day and played stuff like "leave out all the rest", "the message", and stuff like that and it just killed me. Linkin park has always been my favorite band and I'm BIG into music, so that's a big honor. Everything that would have been written if he lived is a major loss.

John Bonham's death being the end of Zeppelin was a kick in the balls to everyone. We missed out on a lot of great music there.

Led Zeppelin was the greatest cover band of all time.

Saw him floating in the river. Didn’t realize right away it was a human, had no idea until days later that it was him. Really crazy Sunday in Memphis.

I'm sure it's been mentioned in this thread, but the Beatles would've gotten back together in the late 80's or 90's if John never died.

Curious what that would've sounded like. I know we got the three John demo songs, but that forced the other to be handcuffed in the creation of the music.

Layne Staley would be singing on blues-rock albums by now... You heard a little with Mad Season.

Well, give us a list of their songs that were covers, and the original artists. Want to listen to them.

they did quite a few of the old Delta blues covers, as did Clapton and Foghat, and those old bluesmen(the ones still living,) were grateful for it
