Zero sympathy. $100 million. You could set aside $5 million in a safe index fund and then go ham with the $95 million with wild parties, real estate, risky investments, cars, and jewelry. You might become a billionaire or lose it all. Then have the $5 million fall back to enjoy a life luxury and ease forever.

What about taxes? Agent fees? Not that I couldn’t live on $45M, but it ain’t $100M.

Players get game checks. If they play in Florida, Tennessee or Texas they have no state income taxes taken out.

I've a great feeling that OBJ retired for 10+ years is going to absolutely hate the version of OBJ that originally stated this

Yep. I was thinking the same thing. Odell isn't a kid from the projects or poor upbringing. If any pro athlete should know better, he's definitely one of them.

I’m pretty sure he continues to bankroll a bunch of his high school friends who went to private school as well, not to mention all the hanger ons hes collected since then

Stop and look at it from his perspective. He’s got $60 million net of taxes and the IQ of a broken toaster. It must be challenging to comprehend having that much money and not understanding how to preserve it
