I’m guessing Race & Religion. I’d recommend something on St Charles. It’s difficult to 1) crowd a herd of people from Canal st towards uptown & 2) time required from hotel to venue.
Hotel Indigo, Omni Riverfront, Marriott on Convention Blvd.
I got married 1.5 months ago at a church in LGD and reception in the park. I highly recommend staying in the CBDish or on St Charles uptown.

A serviceable place near the venue would be Hyatt Place New Orleans/ Convention Center, 881 Convention Center Blvd, New Orleans, LA 70130
It’s not an ultra posh or historical hotel.

The city should be dead in June with plenty of availability. Look along convention center blvd. Hilton would be a very good base of operations.

Hotels are extremely reasonable during the summer .... or Air BNB a large house in the lower garden district right near the venue.

My fiancé got screwed over by the columns about this topic. Also, her sister had her reception there and they ran out of food. They are atrocious.

Stayed there a few years ago after New Orleans Food and Wine Experience and the mattress seemed to be stuffed with Spanish moss and the ceiling fan's leading edge had about 30 years of dust on it.
