Throw in the looming education gap (which causes delayed marriage and childbearing, that women tend to “look up” for a mate, and an inflated sense of value), the increasing gap in political leanings (this can go back to more women in college, too), and the dating apps (in a woman’s hunt to “look up” for a mate, they’re all selecting a small percentage of men; i.e.; the same men are getting all the women in the area off the apps).
The sexual revolution and birth control pills probably play a role in this over the last 60 years, too.
Edit to add: being in a state of learning for longer and longer also leads to a bit of delayed maturity/prolonged adolescence, which is likely worse for men than women.

I actually read that article yesterday. Because “the way men do it” has been the default for so long, it became very easy for intellectually very lazy people to believe that “however women do it” is right/better/etc with no dialogue whatsoever. I think we are seeing the cultural pendulum swing back heavily from that, and I’m curious to see how it shakes out.

Turns out modern urban progressive women have somehow created the perfect combination of obnoxious, demeaning, unattractive, overbearing, unstable and generally unhelpful from a life skills standpoint.
They are by and large incapable of giving or receiving love because their love of self is too strong to enter a sustainable partnership with someone else.

It’s interesting because while I certainly lust after some of the women that pop up on my social media feeds, I can’t help but think how obnoxious it must be to actually chase after some beauty-obsessed princess who sincerely believes men should be experience providers for their vapid lives. I am very appreciative of my down-to-earth wife and feel bad for my son growing up with this generation of women.
