New York is heading back towards 70s/80s crime levels. Glad I was able to visit back in 2017.

Instead of deadly choke holds, why not teach some martial arts- arm bars, arm locks, knee bars, ankle locks, etc. BJJ could go a long way in training. People are advocating for shooting someone in the leg to stop them. By that logic, a few broken bones here and there instead of deadly choke holds, should be good, yes?

A clear shot through the femoral artery will kill you in several minutes if not treated

Why are so many people against the police having any bit of accountability? The police have nothing to worry about as long as they don't do anything wrong. No private profession has the protections that these government enforcers have, outside of government this kind of immunity does not exist. Maybe they will think twice before putting someone in a choke hold because they suspect they are selling single cigarettes.

There is a balancing point. If you keep limiting what officers can do, it will lead to more officers being killed. They are already dealing with individuals who play by no rules, while they have an endless and growing list to keep track of.

There's a definite backlash to the complete jumping of the shark that the fringe left has pulled regarding the police right now however. It went from reform to defund the police in the blink of an eye, and it's shown no signs of stopping the crazy.

"police have nothing to worry about if they do nothing wrong"? What world do you live in? Nah,the thugs, druggies & POS's would never lie & make false accusations against LEO's trying to arrest them. No ethical plaintiff atty would even think about filing a lawsuit based on thugs.druggies & POS's words. No way hostile witnesses swear to tell the truth & nothing but the truth in testifying in court. Where do you live,Mayberry? Wanna guess the cost of liability insurance for a LEO? With their salary, few if any could afford the premium.
