How does

quote:

was dating his suspected killer's 14-year-old sister

turn into

quote:

It's kind of rape

Statutory rape / carnal knowledge of a juvenile if they had sex.

It can overlap. I'm just saying that it isn't as egregious or scandalous as Wooderson preying on HS girls.

Definitely depends on how the birthdays fall, you could still have a senior and freshman at 18 and 14. Even if the age difference is the exact same, it just feels different if it's a senior and 8th grader or college freshman and high school freshman verse two high school kids

I agree and I wouldn't have dated a freshman as a senior but we had a few of those types of relationships in school back then. I don't specifically recall their ages. They could have been 15 and 17 and just 3 years apart in school.

I have a daughter about that age and wouldn't condone it.

Doesn't pass the "half your age +7" rule.

This. I was 13 when I started my freshman year, and it isn't far fetched that someone would graduate HS at 18 or 19.

I’d probably call his mother first and let her know if her son kept seeing my daughter he’d be charged with statutory rape.

I mean, that's basically a senior dating a freshman. Is that really a huge conspiracy?
18 to 14 is more along the lines of a senior dating an 8th grader, and yes, that's pretty fricked up.

I was 14 my whole freshman year and wasn't advanced at all. Birthday is in June and didn't turn 18 until the month after I graduated.

In my HS it wasn't that uncommon for a 3-4 year age gap, the real messed up ones were like the 14 year old girl dating a guy in his mid-twenties. Also, the sister of my brother's friend was about 13 when she started dating a guy in his early thirties and got knocked up at least once within a year or two. Her family actually approved of the relationship.

Unless someone can tie this to Trump, or show how this can benefit the Democrat Party, no one will care.

The brother should have just whipped his arse instead of killing him

It’s not that black and white imo.

He could’ve just turned 18. She could be close to turning 15. Nobody at my HS ever bat an eye when the age difference between a couple was 3 years and change.

He could also be close to 19 and she just turned 14. Didn’t read the article but doubt there’s any info about it in there.

ok?

All we know is 18 vs 14 but we're assuming it's senior vs freshman, which is generally 3 years. That's a weird assumption to make, no?
