From what I read on here, I would've thought he would've been shot by them. "Systemic" Racism, right? Hunted down daily if I remember correctly.

No because that isn't true but there are way too many who make excuses for this type of behavior.

This part is correct, the only way things will ever change. Question is, will some have the balls to make it happen? I wish I could say I have faith that it will happen but I highly doubt it.

I guess we all should be glad he didn't have a Glock 19 stashed somewhere once he got out.

We tried this "catch and release" for a couple of years and the crime rate doubled.

Couple hundred years. The eighth amendment was passed in 1791.
So when and where did the crime rate double?

What does this have to do with the Constitution?

quote:

Under New York law, the “potential dangerousness” of a suspect or defendant is not part of the legal calculation as to whether an individual can be held behind bars pending trial. That requirement was removed from the law in the early 1970s in the Empire State. Other states do allow judges to incarcerate individuals based on a presumption of dangerousness between arrest and trial.
quote:

According to Utica City Court records reviewed by Law&Crime, Forehand had previously been charged with second-degree harassment (in connection with a Jan. 16 incident); trespass (in connection with a Jan. 28 incident); three counts of criminal contempt of court (for incidents dated Feb. 4, March 3, and March 7); and obstruction of governmental administration (in connection with a Dec. 8, 2020 incident). He pleaded not guilty to each of the counts on Jan. 16, Jan. 28, Feb. 4, March 3, March 7, and Jan. 28, respectively; he is scheduled to appear in court again on all of the Utica charges on April 27.

Sounds to me like he should have remained in jail.

If you are referring to the Dems who keep letting them out of jail, I agree.

In AK

Property crimes and violent crime locally went through the roof.

Cashless bail, no prison for many offenses, and it failed spectacularly.
