Of course the Gambit white guilt liberal writer jumps at the chance to slam Nungesser, Landry and Daigle while defending Toya... that douche will be in line early to cast his vote for her second term. He takes so many little subtle digs at Daigle then tries to make it seem objective by highlighting a couple good things that she’s done. Then he returns to drivel about her and the concert/protest participants flouting coronavirus rules... frick that Gambit douche. Good on Nungesser.

Why would Toya have contacted Dick Clark productions about Daigle if Daigle wasn’t going to be featured? She wouldn’t have. The writer trying to defend Toya on that is funny because he has to know it’s bullshite.

If you’re reading a story about the despicable personal vendetta Toya has against Daigle and Toya personally trying to sabotage her career because Daigle sang a song in Jackson Square... and you’re more concerned with Nungesser’s character? Especially in the context of this story? then it should not be shocking for people posting here to assume you’re liberal.

Cantrell throws her substantial weight around to have Daigle removed from a much needed event in the city over sheer pettiness and people bitch above the one politician who tells her to GF herself.

If two politicians fighting save the taxpayers a half a million dollars then good for the taxpayers!!!

We shouldn’t be subsiding these events at all.

It’s advertising. Same as a tourism commercial during a football game. It’s not subsidizing anything.

Friend,

It must be sad watching your beloved city circle the drain so quickly solely due to poor vindictive leadership. Perhaps you should write your mayor a letter or cameo.

Best,
Lonestar

Schlick aside, you are right. Nun guesser is pandering and he comes off as penny wise but pound foolish.

But screw latoya either way.

Finally the right answer. Nungesser is the definition of a politician. A self serving individual. However, momma destroya takes the title in this scenario. She is holding personal feelings over what should be a positive worldwide showing for the city.

I do not care for either of these people, but if i had to choose one....Billy all day long.

Choosing between Destroya and the bulbous elfin hack is typical of what we get in Louisiana in politicians.

We always must settle for the least underwhelming.

Friend,

So Nungesser reads TD, wants to run for governor, and knows that making our mayor look bad is an easy wait to get votes? Can we ask him what the latest is on the marina at Port Eads and how he sunk millions of taxpayer dollars in a marina that is now inaccessible except by helicopter and flatboat? Interesting how small government conservatives are so keen on having the state shell out $500,000 to promote a local celebrity's career.

Yours,
TulaneLSU

I hope this post puts some perspective on this TD character.

People are acting like this will change people’s perceptions of Nungesser.

He’s a corrupt fat frick. Him being in the right here doesn’t mean he will get more support for anything.

If JBE were to pick a fight with Cantrell over this, I would agree with him too and I hate that inbred sloth looking motherfricker.

If the show airs regardless of whether we pay for it, then it’s not advertising. If the $550k is really to have Daigle perform, we don’t need to advertise for her, she does fine by herself. It’s a waste of money.

I’m going to give everything I have into campaigning against her next year; I just hope there is someone — anyone — that emerges as a capable challenger.

I realize that it will also be a Democrat, but Jesus could it get any worse than the incumbent?

90% of the money to rebuild Port Eads was from the Federal Government. When it reopened it stayed booked solid and was generating solid cash flow.

Then the federal government decided to quit dredging Souh Pass at Head of Pass-which it had done since not long after James Eads opened the Pass in 1877, with no warning and allow Souh Pass to silt in making it unnavigable.

The money that was spent may have not been the best decision but it also didn’t have much of an opportunity to show either way.

Nungesser is awful. Latoya is many orders of magnitude worse. Therein lies the rub.

That's nonsensical. I fricking hate Toya with a burning passion and you can go back and look at my posts. I am far far far from a liberal. I am also not a Trumptard. For the record.
