He's right to not like it. I don't get the dismissiveness.

ditto. I’m 100% on that H1B hate with goldennugget. For me personally, this is by far the most disappointing policy issue with the current administration. I want H1B’s completely paused and most of the current ones cancelled

because he framed his dislike at the subject and Texas based on a bullshite graphic he/she took as real.

I’ve been saying for a long time now that Texas has been nothing more than a cliche of “Americanism” for 20 years.

People love to pretend that 2026 TX is the same TX as 1976

i mean can you blame him for being annoyed?

but for the record

Top States for H-1B Approvals (2025/2026 Data)

As of early 2026, the concentration of H-1B visas is highest in these states:

California: ~86,147 approvals

Texas: ~41,571 approvals

New York: ~22,526 approvals

New Jersey: ~21,880 approvals

Virginia: ~21,828 approvals

Major Metropolitan Areas

While states like California and Texas lead in total numbers, the visas are highly concentrated in specific cities and their surrounding metros:

New York-Newark-Jersey City, NY-NJ-PA: Historically the metro area with the highest absolute number of H-1B workers.

Dallas-Fort Worth-Arlington, TX: A primary hub for tech and engineering talent in the South.

San Francisco / San Jose, CA: Known for the highest concentration of software engineers and developers in Silicon Valley.

Washington-Arlington-Alexandria, DC-VA-MD: Driven by high demand for specialized research and government contracting roles.

Seattle, WA: Home to major tech headquarters like Amazon and Microsoft.

The main companies benefiting

that is a lot of American software engineers out of work.

what is worse imo though are the gas stations. They get a grant then they use H1B visa to bring family and friends over to work as gas station clerk under h1b visa....complete bullshite. same with hotels.

What’s LARP mean? Seems like there’s a new abbreviation made every day. Hard to keep up.
