I’d do the stress test. Need to stay ahead of potential clots, which smoking and being diabetic puts you at a much higher risk

You'll be fine, they inject you and you feel like you ran on a treadmill without having to run on a treadmill.

Yes, they can inject you with adrenaline and get your heart really racing. You’d probably wish you could have done the actual treadmill, cause I’ve heard people say it feels like they are going to have a heart attack.

1/2 -1/3 of us will have a heart attack or stroke. You're a diabetic who smokes. Evedently, you cant run long enough for a treadmill, and you are worried about what? Getting cancer in 20 years because of the test (which is safe)?

I hope you do well and the test looks ok, but you might want to focus on making some significant changes in your lifestyle.

It's not adrenaline.

Your body uses a cycle of building and breaking a chemical bond for energy. ADP>ATP then ATP>ADP and repeat. Adenosine DIPhosphate and Adenosine TRIphosphate (Di meaning 2 and Tri meaning 3). Breaking the chemical bond of the Triphosphate releases a huge amount of energy, kinda like a nuclear bomb except chemical not nuclear.

It's the same chemical your body uses every moment of every day, just a booster shot of an extra amount.

The explosion of energy that simulates running on a treadmill comes on like an explosion and dies off fast as the "ripples" of the reaction fade.

But you put carcinogens in your body everyday? Look man, I empathize—I’m a former smoker myself. The radioactive material is safe. There are techs that work there that deal with it everyday—it travels through you whether you’re injected with it or not.

Do the test then listen to the advice of your cardiologist and PCP. Stop smoking, eat better, exercise, get bloodwork annually and enjoy a longer and healthier life.

I'm sure you know this but that's a really bad combo. Gotta give up those sticks man. They will kill you.

I speak from experience. I'm also diabetic and was an occassional smoker. I had to have two stents put in the widowmaker in June of 2015. I was a massive heart attack waiting to happen. Since that day not a puff of smoke has entered my lungs.

Yes they have alternatives however this test is by far the most accurate. Be thankful your doc decided on this test and insurance decided to cover.
