Had the same exact problem with a butterball turkey as well. It ended up coming out fine. Anyways, we pretty much have two rounds going on. The white group came and went already. Now I am waiting for the spanish round to make their way here. In typical fashion they are not here anywhere near the time they said they would be for various issues. It just means some more peace to watch football

Oh it’s not the taking them part, I get that. Not sure if you have kids or what your situation is in that regard but I get wanting to take the young people in your life who are less fortunate out to have fun in this world, whether it’s Disney or mini golf or hell just goofing off in a park.
For me it’s the having everything planned out and ready to go, them telling you naw, frick off for no discernible reason, and now you’re on again but with different plans. Then again it does sound like the kids will probably have more fun with you and your wife instead of crazy arse aunt.
Either way, hope y’all have a good time man!
ETA: yeah so I went back and read again. Looks like you and the Misses were taking them and now the SIL and BIL are taking them. Naw frick that.

Last Thanksgiving, I skinned up Tumalo Mountain, OR and snowboarded it back down.
This season, no snow so far.
And my woman is an Oregonian and has not heard of rice dressing, which was an enlightening conversation for the both of us.
I’m not sure which is more disturbing for me - no snow up here yet or my woman not knowing about rice dressing.

Went to my brother and SIL's house and there usually ends up being some tension because they have the TDS bad. But there was absolutely NO political talk at all. Was nice even if the food was so-so.

Well I’ll jump in. Uncle announced to the family at dinner tonight that he has a 40 year old previously unknown about child. Found him through 23 and me or some shite. Happy Thanksgiving.

Our Thanksgiving was nice and quiet. Wife and I went to my parents, my BIL and SIL and their family joined. Everyone is conservative minded and non trashy. Ate a feast, had a few drinks, watched football. Simple and enjoyable
