I saw plenty on periscope. No idea the logistics of trying to put out a fire like that though

They aren’t putting it out. Looking at periscope the fire is out of control at this point

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the actual structure should survive this intact seeing as it's stone. Obviously, this is a loss, but due to the historical significance of this building, they should be able to clean up the interior and replace the roof, right?

An interesting tidbit; Just if front of Notre Dame is Point Zero, the point from which all distances in France are measured.

Horrible. Just horrible.

I'm curious how long a rebuild could take. The building itself took hundreds of years. By modern standards I'm sure they could do it quickly, but the Segrada Familia even with modern techniques has taken over a 100 years.
My guess is, and we will have to see what the actual structure looks like, it will take at least 25 years.

Windsor Castle, a good part of it, burned out and they were able to refurbish it
