I'm convinced most people are now wearing masks because they've gone out and bought their stylish designer masks with team logos or flower patterns on them. They want everyone to see their new purchases.

They wore masks in 1918

Even the simpletons back then understood the idea of containing your respiratory secretions with a respiratory virus did some good.

But keep fighting the good fight patriot!

Curious... how many of you not mask wearing experts have microbiology degrees?

So let me get this straight...

The mask can’t stop a viral particle in a respiratory droplet but it can stop oxygen and carbon dioxide? Explain to me how that works.

People just hear talking points and repeat them without even thinking.

Do you really think that your feigned Superman tough guy bullshite is going to protect other people from catching a virus you have in your body?

The real pussies are those afraid of what others might think of them, and that prevents them from wearing a mask. That’s the real pussies. Knowing full well what the Neanderthals will think and say and wearing it anyway because they’re trying to be responsible And do the right thing is not the definition of a true pussy.

I think wearing masks will be bad for our long term health and our consumption of "good" germs which regulate our immune system.

My anecdotal evidence of this: my 2 boys have not been at school and haven't been around hardly anyone but family over the last 2 months. Last weekend, we went to some friends' house where my boys swam and hung out with those friends' kids and other neighborhood kids. 2 days later, both of my boys had strep throat.

My kids have fortunately never been ones to get sick very often - but I think both of their immune systems are shot from nearly all germs right now b/c of this ridiculous national overreaction to a virus.

Jesus that’s a stupid analogy. I’m not surprised a mask/glove person came up with that.

My body my choice doesn't apply because you are endangering others.

Well that's what baby killers say.

what cracks me up - the CVS by my house makes people wear a mask to come in.....except the vendors stocking the merchandise - the Coke and Frito Lay delivery/stockers were both in without masks.

Lock yourself inside if you’re that scared of me. You’re more likely to get killed driving to the store than from me breathing.

wearing the public health measure of wearing a mask to Nazi Germany.

Because we have given up freedoms since 911 that we will never get back. I suspect the same happens with this.

It's not omg a mask, Nazi Germany. It's the inch by inch by inch they take.

Some people want the government to do forced isolation, contact tracing and to arrest people for going to work. Like wtf? That is Nazi Germany.

Do you really think the feigned safety bullshite is going to protect other people from catching a virus you have in your body, or vice versa?

There is no cure for this. We've flattend the curve. Anything beyond that is simply delaying the inevitable.

contact tracing

You do realize contact tracing is something public health agencies have done for ages in regards to outbreaks? It's a tool they use to help determine possible spread and help contain an outbreak.

It isn't this new evil plot by the government.
