Enough about the bands. We need the weather to change before the weekend.

Its starting to look like all of Mardi Gras is going to be wet.

Agreed. Positive mojo needed to change this weather. Hell even if the rain is spotty, that would work.

At this point I'd just be happy if they would take the thunderstorms out.

Well I wont be located anywhere near the AIDS that is Nola, so unless your mother and I have another reunion, I think the chance of rain is higher

So you've already been with her, which means you already have them. You should save the insults for someone that can actually make good ones.

Thoth is as big as Endymion, member-wise, or it's VERY close.

Well if you consider about 1400 members more in Endymion, I guess that's close...

Thoth 1700 members

Endymion 3100 members

Are any streets in the parade routes in danger of flooding?

They're all streets in New Orleans serviced by the S&WB. It's all in danger of flooding from a thunderstorm.

Rainfall rates don't appear to be too extreme at this time. Only concern is during Endymion but that's subject to change.

Great, hopefully it moves out even away from Endymion as well. Hoping for a good Saturday and clear Sunday.

Uptown will be a shite show....

I remember the last time they did this...from what I recall....wasnt there some issues with some of the Endy floats getting stuck under the trees on St Charles and the large floats having trouble turning?

It's not just an Uptown issue...Endymion has always had about an hour-long breakdown somewhere along the route for some reason since I was a kid and the route didn't go Uptown. Bacchus tends to get them too. When you have floats that huge, there are going to be some challenges along the route.

About 90% of the bands wouldn’t play when they were marching in certain stretches of the parade route

Sometimes it just seems that way or you have bad luck. There are probably spots where they play to impress, but I'm in what would be considered a highly white area of the route and every band seemed to be playing yesterday.
