During the news conference, Yenni said he has heard from some New Orleans parade krewes about possibly moving parades to Jefferson Parish if the city of New Orleans wasn't willing to reschedule parades this weekend.

So now you have all your bases covered. Light to moderate rain to now heavy rainfall.
Huh, from the first sentence of my post:

This afternoon's LIX discussion brings in mention of heavy rain possible Saturday, and when it's between my reading of models and theirs...we always side with the NWS.
I'll simplify it for you, the pros are mentioning the threat of heavy rain so I have to side with them because they know more than I do.
Which means with the new information, I decided my initial "only light to moderate" is incorrect (aka wrong) and wanted to update that.

If it doesn't rain I can be.

This morning you were calling for light rain off and on.
It’s all good. You’re doing a good job.

I still think that's the story, but gotta prepare for the higher impact stuff. Since the NWS brought it up, I'd be silly to not mention it here.

I, for one, am thankful for your efforts and willingness to be so thorough. I know it is difficult to please some.

I was in Nola all day, only had light rain and drizzle. It was 90% at 3, it drizzled for about an hour

Storming hard now and there are no crowds to speak off. They should have cancelled tonight.

Cold and rainy is bad though. It should be warmer this weekend.

Out here now and light to moderate rain. Nyx is stuck on Jefferson on float 3. They haven’t moved in 45 min.
This parade isn’t going to end until after midnight
This is ridiculous

They hit a powerline on Jefferson before the parade barely got started

And it’s poring. Gonna be a long night for Nyx

It’s worse when your wife and bff’s are NYX riders and you have to pick up their wasted asses at the end.

What?? No fricking way. Those riders are going to be miserable.
