Not doing good mentally.

My old boss just passed away. He was assaulted by his son at our office, was in ICU/hospice since last May. I was there when it happened. I was threatened if I came forward it’d come back on me and my family. I’ve lived with so much regret since it happened. It’s kept me up at night. We were close. He’s the reason I’m in sales. He saw potential in me when I had no clue where my life was going. He was 78 fricking years old, former Marine.. His son is 46 and is also a former Marine that uses PTSD as an excuse to be a complete piece of shite. They fired me the day before I had surgery. I’ve come forward several times trying to get the cops to do something, haven’t heard back. He was an amazing man. Sharp, witty. Still worked out every day at 78. I do not know what to do or where to put this. It’s an immense burden that has significantly impacted my life. My current boss was his old partner. He understands to a certain point, but nobody gets the pain I go through living through this. I don’t know what to do.
