Krystal's... they shut down all Louisiana locations a few years ago. Was my go-to since high school for late night drunk food and was sort of late night comfort food a few times out of the year.

Trashy AF, I know.

Just video arcades in general. There are 100 hour YouTube videos of arcade noise simulation, but it's not the same.

Forgot about that. We saw all the odd Trey Parker movies there. Orgasmo, Baseketball, Caribana the musical.

Good drunken times.

If you're never done it, watch Cannibal! The Musical on DVD with the Trey Parker/Matt Stone et al. commentary on.

While the movie plays, they proceed to get absolutely shite faced drunk with a few of their friends who were in the film as well. They tell some funny stories about making of it and spend a lot of time just wasted and talking shite on each other.

Comedy gold.

Ahh man that's cool! Geaux Tigers

It was a big bummer when it closed that turned into a bigger bummer when I moved into Kirby and Gatti's would've been a stones throw away.

Fun Arcade on Vets.

Another great one. I'm pretty sure I witnessed the transition from pinball machines to video games largely in that place.

Looking back, it's surprising we didn't get kicked out of that place on at least one occasion. A carload of about 5 of us arrived there one time and everyone of us had to go like a race horse. The bathroom facilities were not much so we had to use whatever drains were available - toilet, sink, floor drain. They must have either been very tolerant or had very light supervision.

Were you on the swim team? A coupe of them lived next to me on Jennifer Jean in about 2002. Good times were had. Still friends with a handful of them.

Trampoline place in Metairie off Bonnabel and Vets. During the summer they would turn on the sprinklers, chaos!

The original Coconut Beach volleyball place out at West End. I used to be able to ride my bike there and play all afternoon or go drink at one of the bars/restaurants. When there were big tournaments or if it were a busy summer weekend there were boats and fine women all over the place.

It was even nice to sometimes ride across the 17th Street Canal and eat at the little restaurants on the water there that was basically like eating at a fishing camp.
