WDSU did a "Hot Seat" debate that is on YouTube. ~21 minutes and very informative.

Going by the mailers and Winns billboards, Winn is the only one I see slinging mud.

In any case, Winn is good ole boy St. Tammany swamp.

It shows how much power these positions hold if 2 supposed "great" lawyers will sling this much mud for a position that pays under $200k a year. I would think if they are as great as they say they are they could do much better. Is it the retirement?

DAs get paid very well and have a very good retirement. In a lot of parishes you don't work too hard and can have a private practice on the side. It's high profile and can be a stepping stone to higher office if that's your jam.

ETA under 200k might not sound like much but it's great money in a non urban area for a job that leaves your evenings and weekends free most of the time, unlike Biglaw.

I don’t think these guys are doing it for the money.

From my understanding they both have axes to grind and vendettas against certain people in the parish

Hope they get more weekends and evenings free than Mike Cooper. Saw him at the car wash the other day and he had like 8 sport coats and ties hanging in his back seat LOL.

There is pretty much no one I want to vote for in the St. Tammany elections. Everyone is corrupt.

I’ve had some professional exposure to Sims. He’s competent and capable and fair.

Wynne looks like the good ole boy network

I don’t understand the hate Cooper gets. A close relative of mine works for him and they say he works everyone under the table. Usually at the office on weekend mornings. Did a good job of righting the ship that Pat ran into the ground.

Wynne is the good ole boy network. Collin is an a-hole by all accounts. I’d be shocked if Collin loses based on the campaign ads I saw that are coming.

I'm sure he keeps really busy. There is a ribbon cutting, political fundraiser or some sort of function every day/evening on top of his regular duties.

Wynne is being endorsed by the current Sheriff, and that tells me all I need to know about him. Sims is the better choice.
