You're right. How about nobody says anything about paying a man millions to play a game, hundreds of thousands to make porn, acting, etc and it's all good. But let somebody make some money from a church and it hits the fan.

Sigh.
That's a terrible position for an argument.

"Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also"
Matthew 6:19
If your pastor "stores up his treasure" with material possessions then one is right to call his heart into question.
“No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon."
Matthew 6:24
Christ was CRYSTAL clear on how a leader of faith should live his life. A ball player may make millions but that does not negate Christ's teachings.

How is this surprising? Why you think so many people have Rev. or Pastor tacked onto their names?
Tax free baby.

Tax free baby.

I dunno. Maybe he was called a racist before that response. Who knows?
And so he concludes from one person calling him racist that racism now is worse than the 1960s? One micro level event is cause to generalize the entire state of affairs? Makes sense.

But you can conclude he's a bad person from one sentence??
Got it.
Also reread. He said "since the 60s", not "more than the 60s"

This is the op by the pastor. This occurred on a FB group called Ruston Rants. I believe that you must have some type of connection, or lie about that connection, with the area to join the group. The entire group is fairly cringe worthy. Those North LA people are cray cray. I'm glad I got my wife to move many years ago.
Anybody interested in starting a church?

Ruston and the people of North Louisiana should see the historical movie; "the Free State of Jones." It is about the Civil War filmed in Louisiana about Jones county, Mississippi. It is about a Confederate deserter named Newton Knight, that waged his own private fight against the confederacy with an army of deserters and blacks. All races would benefit by seeing this movie. My question is how many of you are descendants of confederates and do you feel obligated for reparations?

Yeah. Ruston Rants is just a bitchfest from what I understand about it. Shouldn't have even been posting there.

The key words there.
That's why they have no income, or minimal income. It's all the churches, they just using that big house and cars..
