Bad grammar?
Egotistical religious leader?

Yep, sounds like Louisiana to me.

If you scare the simpletons enough, they will literally turn over everything and their life to you. Pretty sad. And a fascinating study in human psychology. L. Ron Hubbard always said that if you wanted to make some real money start a church. Looks like he proved himself right although he died before it really took off.

Churches are great businesses. Very tax friendly environment. Loyal customer base. Free trips to all over the world. Can put entire family on payroll and still be on the up and up.

I wonder if these pastors are atheist in real life? If not, then they must really think they have some type of calling from god.

Yeah I know both of them. Pastor Witt is all about god. There is no denying that. He took a church fixing to close its doors and revitalized it. I'll never go to that church but only BC I have different ways of believing.

Bart's just stirring the pot. Good guy. Big saints fan. Played football at Ruston high for Childress I think.

Not advocating what he said.

FYI. They just opened a Church of Scientology on Airline just north of I-12. In the place that used to be a big Chinese restaurant. I kind of want to go in there and listen to their spiel. I think it would be fascinating.

As an atheist, stuff like this almost makes me with his god was real if only I could see what goes down when he meets his creator and gets his arse thrown into hell.

What? That's absurd. He's a good guy. Church almost closed its doors and I think they have an attendance of around 1300.

He was able to spread the word to people and people listened. Isn't that what its all about?

I read it as he was raised with a racist notion but now has a church where, I guess, it's half white and half black. I thought that was a good thing?? Maybe I need to go reread it
