My area used to have school through near mid June.
I’m pretty sure in my area they started rolling the school year earlier and earlier until May was the end of school RIGHT around the time June got big as a Pride Month with obligatory celebration.
No school in June means no fights about Pervert History, Awareness, Celebration or rainbow flags festooning teacher’s classrooms.

When I was a kid mark your calendar for school starting the day after Labor Day holiday and end June 3rd.
