To visit? Ok, I can see the argument.
To live? Hahahaha, no

After looking at this list, it is quite apparent These people are on drugs. I mean, San Francisco, Washington D.C., Chicago... come on...

What, cookie cutter Dallas didn’t make the list. What a shame.

Ricky Williams was right on that one about New Orleans.
No problem with the list other than New Orleans and San Antonio being on it. Portland/Seattle, NY, Chicago, Boston, San Fran and San Diego are standard choices.
San Antonio and New Orleans are garbage. The Benson Cradle. The only thing going for them is they're old. But they are ugly nasty cities. Would not even want to visit.
Was hoping to see Orlando on the list. Orlando and Denver >>> N.O. and S.A.

You could not be more wrong.

This.
I’ve never been able to fathom why these reviewers always feel the need to romanticize slum areas.

Tell that to that Michigan couple that was passing through to see the city and visit relatives on their way to a Caribbean anniversary vacation. They're probably still stuck in New Orleans trying to figure out how their tires got stolen in the valet lot. But at least they had architecture, food, and traditions to bide their time.

Per a Conde Nast Travel Guide. Whoopdeeshit.

Minneapolis deserves to be higher than No. 14. Great city.

To start, they mentioned living in the city, and not simply visiting
The website is conde nest traveler.
The list is based on top cities to visit, not to live.

San Diego should be lower due to the huge homelessness problems they have.

Laugh all you want. Denver is the new Portland.
And Orlando. It is the best Florida has to offer. Short drive to Daytona and the beach, short drive to Tampa and the clubs, and Orlando/Kissimmee itself is an amazing place to live, clean with all sorts of entertainment and world class restaurants. In a way like Vegas but without the sin. Disney built it and everything built up around it to take advantage of the tourists. Also in a way built on tourism like New Orleans but newer, cleaner and without the murder. Also we are loaded with talent here.

New Orleans has a lot of problems, but don’t pretend like it doesn’t have a lot of special qualities as well.
One of the things that struck me about Phoenix was that other than the climate and the scenery outside of town, absolutely nothing about that city seemed any different from similar neighborhoods in Atlanta, Orlando, Dallas, Houston, L.A., etc.
This. New Orleans is one of the few places in America where Target, Bed Bath & Beyond, Dicks, trendy chain restaurants, and generic urban sprawl don't rule.

Completely reasonable that NOLA would rank so high in a Conde Nast article about travel. Your thread title doesn't really specify that's what the ranking is for vs quality of life living there
