It's sad that we continue to let the minority rule in this country. When in the hell did we start giving in to every want and need of these buffoons?

Above it all, the Virginian stands in his military uniform, with his arms folded and his gaze set firmly on the North — the embodiment of the "Cult of the Lost Cause" southerners invoked to justify continued white power after the Civil War.

Quote from AP article released forty minutes ago. National media jumping on the bandwagon.

I don't make racist comments. I call them out.

For the record, I am not for their removal.

Imagine if the white man didn't pillage North America and the Native Americans weren't bothered. Utopia as you put it.

You know, if you really want to you can still go in the woods and live in a tent. I think you probably like the evil white man's civilization what with its creature comforts.

Nothing will change except the widening racial divide in this country.

This is what's so disturbing. Once the possibility of removing the statues, it triggered a further divide as evidenced by the behavior and some of the speeches made. Instead of resolving an alleged issue, it created a worse problem.

What difference does that make? It sets a dangerous precedent, imo.

You should celebrate by going out and shooting a fellow black man... hurry up though so you can blame the statues before they come down.

I don't know about dangerous, and this will be old news next week. So they're really angry about something that does not affect them.
