You may be overestimating the humans working the Hertz counter nowadays.

LSU say I was being bigoted and culturally insensitive saying Puerto Ricans are US citizens

Not surprising watching the video. It's New Orleans quality employees. Basically Popeyes employees working at Hertz. No surprise they think Puerto Rico might as well be Brazil.

You're right the cop was doing his job. But what I didn't put in the quote was that he allegedly told the guy he was going to call border patrol. That's the idiot part

Kenner police reviewed his body camera, he never said it. The police officer did his job, correctly.

The strange part about the complaint is this guy is claiming the KP said it as he was leaving. He's complying, why would KPD need to threaten him with calling border patrol if they just wanted him to leave.

The cop can’t make hertz rent him a car.

Maybe not, but the dude had already paid for the rental. The person at the counter wasn't just a moron, but refused his pre-paid rental and never offered a refund. It was only after this story hit the news that Hertz actually offered to refund his money that he legitimately paid for a rental. Hertz is shitty all the way around.

The cop did nothing wrong. Hertz told the dude to leave and he refused. The cops have nothing to do with Hertz denying him a rental.
