There are tons of studies showing this. But Pfaker claims to be the only solution.

Yeah, that seems a little high. Although, if you live in a densely populated major city, who knows?

A quick Google search indicates that the average American, if pressed, can name 100-200 friends and acquaintances.

The percentage of Americans that have had one bout of COVID is about 31 percent.

So 0.31 x 150 = 46.5.

So, you should probably only know about 46-47 people who have had COVID total, if you are an average American.

I think I know two who were "treated" for Covid.

The rest just rode it out.

The AMA is a quack organization that is mostly a marketing organization, very much in bed with the WHO and insurance companies.Only 15% of physicians belong but yet they pass themselves off as the voice of American physicians.
I can only assume JAMA which they put out is a fraud journal and they are not going to publish studies that would displease Fauci,WHO and Bill Gates.

A recent past president of AMA was Patrice Harris,a female psychiatrist.NPR did an interview with her ,with great fanfare as PRESIDENT OF THE AMA.Sounds great but I’m sure the only ones impressed were her family.
The interview was concerning hydroxychloroquine. She stated it was entirely too dangerous, it could kill people, any Dr. that prescribed it was reckless and should have their license revoked.
That was and is an abject lie and she probably knew it.It has been given to umpteen million people world wide for malaria preventionIt is frequently used for lupus and rheumatoid arthritis and has a very good safety profile.
Dr.Sanjay Gupta ,a board certified neurosurgeon,on CNN was saying the same thing. So much for ethical medical practitioners. He should be ashamed.
Whether hydroxychloroquine was effective for Covid was debatable but the lies being told are indefensible.

The same bullshite has played out on ivermectin which has been prove in numerous studies of it’s effectiveness and safety. And yet,our corrupt medical system has played right along to avoid the wrath of Fauci and his enforcement arm- CMS.

That Brazil study has been discussed in other threads months ago. Apparently its peer review consists of internet votes or some such.

Back of the envelope math: the death rate is currently ~3 people per 1,000 people, which strikes me as a typical lower limit on the size of incorporated cities.

So if you live in a place like lived growing up (~1000 people), you should expect to have heard about 3 people dying. (Which exactly corresponds to the number of people from my hometown that I’ve heard about.)

But “knowing” each of these people is a bit harder to measure. For me, I only really “knew” the one person who lived on my parents’ street. The other two were familiar names that I read about in obituaries.

But, still, sociological, I think people “know” each other better in smaller towns. So I guess the gut-punch you feel hearing about COVID deaths in smaller towns has a much lower threshold than, say, New York City, where you may hear about 200 people dying up in the Bronx, but doesn’t emotionally register for you on Staten Island.

remdesivir is used in hospitalized patients, while ivermectin is mainly used in outpatients. Patients on remdesivir are therefore more likely to be seriously ill and die compared to patients on ivermectin.

Campbell cited a second study conducted in the Brazilian city of Itajaí. That study was widely shared on social media in December 2021, in the form of a preprint. It was later published in the scientific journal Cureus[3]. However, that study contained multiple methodological flaws that call the reliability of its conclusions into question. It was the highlight of an earlier Health Feedback review, which discussed the problems with the study in detail.

Hey guys, 4 posters asked for me. I guess y’all don’t want me here anymore

quote:

Campbell claimed that the data “unequivocally” showed that ivermectin is effective at reducing COVID-19 mortality, saying “In other words, you’re about 70 percent less likely to die if you take ivermectin compared to taking remdesivir”. However, the authors of the abstract objected to such an interpretation of their work, with one of them calling out Campbell’s video specifically. This can be seen from the tweets below by medical student Iakov Efimenko and infectious disease specialist Jose Gonzales Zamora, both of whom are affiliated with the University of Miami:

I don’t care about ivermectin. I have never had an issue with people taking it or doctors prescribing it. It was vilified by the left just to get trump. A select few posters thinning I’m a covidian or someone for mandates and masks shows how whacko the PT posters have become

And linking shite line the OP and not having the self awareness to know how shitty it is

Yes, doctors are all corrupt pieces of shite. That is a reasonable take.

It’s really not. But if you don’t trust us, please go see a naturopath, your preacher, a vet, a yogi, chiro, or whoever you like. Seriously. Doctors don’t need the business at this point, so please make room for those who actually want our care.

You may want to read up about the good "Doctor" Campbell, the nursing educator who isn't an MD, nor has he ever attended medical school. He's notorious for declaring "studies" as proof for his beliefs that don't come close to qualifying as actual scientific studies. He's been called out by actual doctors, virologists, and epidemiologists for being full of shite and spreading disinformation...professional, REAL doctors who have nothing to gain from pushing one treatment over another. Or you can come to TD and watch some video posted by some anonymous user with an obvious axe to grind and take every word as gospel. I'll stick with the actual doctors.

Nah man, let the OT mouthbreathers do their thing. If they aren’t smart enough to know the difference between a fake doctor and a real one I would just stand back and let Darwinism play out. They’ll resent you for pointing it out anyway, since it goes against their narrative.

I was thinking the exact same thing. Stereotypes exist for a reason.
