If one is wise enough, they stop reading that tripe. It's only the foolish who can't move on from their addiction to praise who have problems with this (and likely surround themselves with agents, managers, etc. who constantly harp on this as well).

holy shite, why did I just try and read that article.

I've been trying more and more lately to not engage in fatuous, brain-dead social media or celeb horseshite that has zero meaning or effect on my life.

She needs to be less sensitive, but social media is full of bullies who often hide behind their anonymity. "You need to divorce hour husband." The mob think on social media sites is ridiculous.

Yes, but how many people know that?
She should be a household name.

The girls of this generation are the most psychologically fragile in world history. I mean that literally. Look at the data. They are depressed and medicating and increasingly hopeless. I look at them and see the vitality and promise of youth and they just feel like the world is ending.

No, no, no. Don't you understand? She had "mental health issues". That explains away any substandard or aberrant behavior in modern America. No one is really an a-hole or quitter. They just have "mental health issues", dontcha see?

She should.

She's a [queen, fire emoji, slay queen, strong/empowered/independent woman]

and therefore [deserves, shouldn't settle for less than]

a man who will prostrate himself before her and kiss her arse every second of every day.

And if he won't, she should leave his arse and find herself a man who will.

I mean I hate that she pulled out of the Olympics and thought it was an awful look - both here and internationally.

It’s interesting at the same time though how many on this board think they understand the mental and physical pressure on an Olympic athlete. You have personal experience?

Here’s the problem. If you don’t want the opinion of the mob, how about not serving up your personal life to it?

Nobody’s life was enriched by hearing from her replacement-level NFL player husband. Nobody asked for this. Don’t get mad when he makes a bad joke and people interpret it as him being an arse.

Do you think it's any more or less than a father working his arse off, struggling to provide for his family? Working 2 jobs so his kids' future might be better than his own, all while trying to be a good husband to his wife and father to the kids?

Is the pressure more or less? Is the significance of that pressure more or less? Which pressure matters more in the grand scheme of things?

I honestly don't give a damn about the pressure an athlete faces, nor do I excuse them for quitting under it. Especially on the world stage. I'm damn sure not going to celebrate it like many tried to.
