More of the same. The biggest difference is, at least a few folks are talking about trying to make some changes to help. Unfortunately, there aren't many of those voices.

I go to quite a few Bears games in Chicago and don't even feel 100% safe in the stadium parking lot after night games. Until I am out of Cook county I do not stop PERIOD....day or night games.
Also about that 1 year old. He was 20 months old. A car pulled up and unloaded a clip into the car before speeding off so they know it was targeted. Of course in that shithole the kid dies, the mom only gets grazed, and the baby's daddy (likely the targeted person) walks away clean with one less child to support. I swear each mayor only makes things worse. Hopefully Spnt Brown (Dallas police chief when those cops were shot at) can come in with some fresh ideas to help limit this crap.
AND OF COURSE rather than referring to it as violence or gang banging the liberals there go right for the "gun violence" dogwhistle.

It’s where Obama lived before running for President, so it’s a symbol of white supremacy to right wingers to take daily notice of crime in Chicago, which they presume to be “black on black” and “Democrat.” The point is to then make comments about how depraved black people are.
A thread like this pops up almost every day, usually on the Poli Board. Very sad that it is tolerated.
