Massive downpour out here in Central. My entire yard is now underwater.
Fwiw, my neighborhood drains well, we were one of the few areas to not flood in 2016. I get times like this, where the yard goes under a few inches, but it drains within an hour of being finished.

20mph on the interstate going to be great. Might have to get a 24 oz miller for the ride home.

I know it rains here a lot;

but I got emergency flood warnings (not watch) on my phone, and I'm seeing BR has cancelled multiple events today (Live after Five, etc). I didn't get flood warnings on any of the past few storms.

And the amount of water that came down in a short period was impressive.

Why in the world would we need a thread every time it rains in south Louisiana?

Y'all are the ones that make a big stickied thread for severe weather events, not me

And just for the record, I don't see geysers at sewer manhole covers every time it rains. I normally only see them after a bad tropical storm band comes through; I'm watching one right now. Water in the ditches are up over the road currently, although the rain has seriously slackened up and things starting to drop now.
