This Friday would be the first bi-week payday for those effected by the shutdowns implemented 3/13. My point this is the week where people’s cash income will not exist. Listened to Guy Williams (CEO Gulf Coast Bank) this morning and he mentioned a lady came into one of their branches yesterday to withdraw her final $50 with no paycheck coming this Friday. His bank gave her some money to get through, truly heartwarming. I feel the local leaders will start to hear the cries of folks starting this weekend as cash runs out.

It is going to get very ugly for a lot of people in the coming weeks. Most people do not have the cash necessary to survive without a regular paycheck.

Oh they will hear them... but do you actually expect them to do anything about it?

They are going to start to hear them loud and clear as soon as the voices of those without jobs and money are louder then those scared of possibly catching something.

I'm unionized and guaranteed pay even if we do shut down.. and my coworkers still whine every day. Say they deserve hazard pay among other things.

These are the same lot that complain about free breakfast on management because its continental and not bacon and pancakes.

Well, if anybody here needs meat and are in very bad shape, let me know and I will help. I been there many years ago starting off in school, working a full time job and knocked up the old lady. Been married 40+ years to the same babe.
