The 6th generation was released in 2015 and is just not attractive. Especially when you compare it to the Mustang and Challenger which it competes with.

They'll have a sports coupe approximately the size of the Camaro. It will probably have a different name. And be more expensive.
It's unlikely that they cancel the Camaro since they are building other cars on the same chassis well past 2026.

I will believe it when I see it. That said I think they spent too much time and money on packages like the ZL1 1LE. The thing is a monster and the best road racing pony car since the Trans Am inspired 69 Boss 302 and Z28. But while selling out and giving journalists hardons it really wasn't in the avarage Camaro buyers wheelhouse.
Bingo.
Most people who buy cars like that aren't getting the most powerful, track oriented model.
They need to focus on the models under $40K. And those buyers aren't as enthusiastic with a useless back seat and gun-slit windows. They want at least some practicality out of something wearing a Chevrolet bow tie.

Well at least black people will still have dodge if they want a sports car

Looks like they should have left the Camaro alone in 2014. The Challenger hasn't changed looks and they keep selling

Sad news for a lot of single mothers and hairdressers around the Ark-La-Tex.

Are you looking for a reason to suck a bag a dicks?

That looks almost exactly like the new Rav4s.

The newer Alpha platform is amazing though. It’s so rigid that pulling into my slightly angled driveway it lifts the rear wheel on that side off the ground...it’s slipping trying to gain traction.

Interior has been dramatically improved, plus the scat pack is a great value

The new front end treatment isn't winning a lot of fans

Sure, they ditch Camaro to make electric bikes.

When they were showing pictures of the redesign (before the new Camaro even came out), everyone was saying how ugly it was and they will stick to their last style. if people didnt like it before they started building them, they should have changed their plans

Well they've been mass produced over the last decade or so, and have lost their appeal in the market. Question is, will it ever be back again? I guess it depends on how much longer GM makes IC engines. And who would want an electric Camaro..

By the time they show even renders of the actual product they are kinda far along to change course.
There are two kinds of car buyers average car buyers and petrol heads the former outnumbers the latter about 1000 to 1. The average car buyer wants the newest body style because it lets their neighbors and co-workers know they got the new one plus it integrates better with their phone and the climate control reads their mind plus it has a 29" TV on the dash, last years was only 19". Petrol heads bitch about every change, they see themselves as the car cognoscenti protectors of all things IC a sort of St Duntov, St Porsche or St Ferrari. Take the P-car guys, if it were up to most of them every 911 would look like a 901. It is a headache to build a new version of a production car that makes everyone happy. Plus people in focus groups like to dick ride companies eve when they are being paid not to.
