I am by no means defending this shite stain but what exactly do you expect him to be charged with?

I called it from the moment it all started playing out. I knew he would get off. So embarassing for the state. I don’t care if the one he killed was an outstanding citizen or not, that ain’t right.

If the man walked into his lane and the crash was unavoidable, how is it manslaughter?

Let the rest of the world live here a few years, they'll understand.

Evidence doesn’t back that up

Get off? He wasn’t charged. Evidence shows it was an accident or even the dead guys fault.

How about you look up the requirements to be charged for that in Louisiana?

So, was this a hit and run case or not. My family who stay in Leesville told me about the case when it happened. Of course I'm aware their story may not be 100% accurate.

But from what I heard this was a hit and run, yet the guy was never convicted of that. From reading the article I am left to assume that was not the case.

You all are defending him like you know he is innocent. You want him to be innocent. Is the dumb social media stuff he said not enough to know he might actually have did it? Stop living in denial. There’s hateful people in the world and especially in central Louisiana.

it says there at the bottom of the photo

now if you open the photo and read the caption attached to it it says...

quote:

Sherell Lewis Jr. (center) is seen with two of his friends, Dominic Hackett (left) and Jerome Williams (right). Lewis died May 30, 2018, after being hit by a truck on U.S. Highway 71. SnapChat posts apparently made by the driver of that truck, Matthew Martin, have created a social media furor because he used a racial slur to describe Lewis.

a friend in the photo supplied the Town Talk with that picture

I’m no SJW but you all know damn well if a black dude hit some white guy, he’d be behind bars.

Social media posts do not fit the requirements to be charged for vehicular homicide in the state of Louisiana.

I don't propose anything. I'm just saying life has a funny way of working things out with karma, God, or whatever you choose to believe in.

I'm not talking about the actual accident because it was an accident. I'm talking about him mocking the man after he was killed. That's as low as you can get. That man had people that loved him and that's a really painful thing for a loved one to read after a death.
