I mean ole boy is 20 years old, there are not many 20 year olds who has a great philosophy on life.
There is a political interest in keeping black folk as a group. "We got the black vote", but there is a change within the black community. I mentioned this the other day, but the generation of blacks that's the oldest today, is the last of a generation that were strong church going people who valued family, etc, but something happened after this generation.
Of course this doesn't apply to every black person, I am just speaking in general. Actually crack hurt the black communities.
I know in the L.A. area, in the 60s when a lot of jobs went overseas, they were jobs a lot of black men had and then all of a sudden they didn't have work and that lead to a lot of single parent homes, like anything else in this country, its a lot more complex than just simply blaming it on one thing.

The criticism is apt once you expand your view to see that many of those calling for "love and togetherness" are the same ones profiting from violence and division. That dependency on those things continuing to exist so he can continue his livelihood stains his message as being sincere only in that he just wants people to be loving and full of togetherness towards himself and his immediate loved ones.
That's the real message here, and in that it is indeed "pretty on point".
