Then they are mediocre to terrible. A decent HS WR would probably run a 4.8-5.0. That's not incredibly fast.
There's lot of terrible HS football players and teams everywhere.

Thank you for great information. You are the kind of participant this board needs more of, one who actually addresses the topic . Half of the people on this board seem to take many topics far too personally instead of ignoring it. Instead of having the world believe they are dumb they post and remove all doubt.
Care to address the chart and the fact that your 9 year old ran almost one second faster than the excellent 9-11 year old girl category?

It has become painfully clear that tigersbb doesn't know how to use Google to find information. The chart that was posted is literally the first link when you search
Now stop wasting board space with your stupid questions.

Hand timed so even allowing for this the time would definitely fall several age ranges higher. She is an elite athlete and is a workout warrior with musculature in the upper junior high to high school range.

not if she has any OT aspirations, unless she was running backwards

How many stars is she?
What position does she play?
What are her measurements?
What are her intangibles?
These are the things the 45 year olds on the recruiting board who choke themselves to 17 year old top 5 school tweets want to know.

Bet you are the the type poster who asks such relevant questions as:
First play from scrimmage in season opener?
First batter of the seasons walkup song?
Is the newest hired football assistant the next head coach in waiting?

That was kind of creepy.
Really? A young athlete who has an advanced skill set because she loves to train and workout.
Bet you gush over the 14 year old boy who can dunk? Or the freshman phenom who gets offered by LSU and BAMA.
By the way this was your post a couple of days ago

I'm legitimately asking for help. My son told me last night at dinner that he wanted to be thicker...whether he needs to or not that is his perception. That lower center of gravity those smaller kids have helps them when it's close combat, I think he just wants to be more durable and a little thi...

They have high school wide receivers in this state that don't run a 5.2 in the 40....
Do those receivers also play OLine?
Hell I think I could run a 5.2

I seriously doubt a 9 year old is a ELITE athlete. I think you being her father has everything to do with thinking shes an elite athlete.
Posted on 4/6/17 at 11:41 am to tigersbb
Eh you right
I definitely use this board to air frustrations.
I'm terribly non-confrontational in real life
Still, weird thread homie

How would you rate a 5.2 in the 40 yard dash by a nine year old girl?

Not her father, but related.
She is elite in what she has accomplished in sports and in what she can do training and conditioning relative to the majority of kids her age.

pretty meaningless at that age

That is blazing for a girl that age.

True, but just responded to the poster's comments.
Original question was just trying to get insight into where the speed rated relative to age groupingbut as usual this board hijacks and creates its own agendas.

Seriously doubt that. In my physical peak in high school, I was only around a flat 5.0.
About as fast as a fast 9 year old girl I reckon.
