Is it too soon for John Paul III? If the next Pope is a return to a more traditional set of beliefs could that be a possibility?

I know why John Paul II took the name, but are there any precedents for the length of time or number of individuals between reuse of a papal name?

Adrian could have gotten it back in the day.

But I don’t think they still allow female popes like they did a long time ago.

Was it Francis who was supposed to be the last pope? Or maybe Benedict resigning threw off the schedule. So it's obviously Peter the Roman. Whoever it is, that will be the last pope, should obviously go with Peter. If he has a a sense of humor, he'll go with Hilarius. But really, if it's a Roman who chooses Peter, repent now.
