'26 Nissan Murano does auto updates and sends a notification to the control panel afterwards when I start the vehicle. It prompts me to access my Nissan app if I want details on the updates performed.

I drive a car that has no technology. Old school. Parts are cheap. Mechanics now how to fix it. Never have to deal with recalls or any of the dealership troubles.

With Tesla, the software update feels more like an upgrade than an update. I always enjoy reading the update notes to see what new features have been added. I don't think my neighbor ever imagined when he bought his Tesla 5+ years ago that it would one day be able to drive itself. Tesla also does a good job of informing drivers what the updates will include (via social media) before they are released.
