I can run my business from anywhere and I chose SoCal for the weather and beaches. NY is fun to visit but F living there.

Neither if possible.

If I had to choose, I’d go with LA because I have family there and I hate the cold.

Both are crowded, expensive as hell, and run contrary to my politics and beliefs. And I seriously doubt I could afford to live somewhere in either where my kids could get a good education.

NYC assuming I can afford it. I like it there but have heard enough about L.A. (and California in general) to know that I would probably be arrested at some point living there.

The price it takes to live in NYC is grossly exaggerated as a single male or dual working couple with no kids.

NYC becomes ridiculously expensive if you have a family and need daycare/school. or you want to be a homeowner

I may love my family out there but several of them went batshit due to it.

I wouldn’t want my kids to grow up in that.

NYC!

New York is a truly exceptional and amazing place. Los Angeles is Houston with better weather.

California has many, many gorgeous (but expensive) places to live. I like visiting California, except for LA. LA is dusty, gross, endless sprawl. It’s depressing to me. I much prefer San Diego or San Francisco.

Only it's more humid like the South.
