If you can find a new ‘23-‘24 ram with the hemi I would consider it. They are good trucks and the interior & ride is top of the line.

I would stay away from the ‘25 as they just moved to a I6 turbo model and I would let them work that out.

I have a ‘22 Ram and a ‘24 F150 and I would drive the Ram 365 days a year over the F150. It’s just nicer.

it appears to be an issue with the 21-23 trucks, seems like like they’ve worked out the issues with the new ones,

I have researched the crap out of it over the past two weeks and multiple sites are saying that the only reason 2024 models were not included in the recall is because they are hybrids. If engine failure occurs, the electric motor will let the vehicle continue to move (although at a slow speed) so it can get out of traffic and to the shoulder. Therefore Toyota was not required to include them in the safety recall.

It’s an old and reliable engine that’s been in use for like a decade and has millions of miles behind it.

check the owner’s manual, it’s usually there, on some cars it’s labeled on the dash presentation

Not sure what you are going to use the truck for, if you aren’t doing heavy duty hauling or off-roading there’s several options way under 80 k.

I fricking hate it. It is either too sensitive and jolts down with a car 100 yards in front of me. OR I don’t notice it has happened and I’ve been going 65 for miles because of the car in front of me when I had it set on 75.
The video screen mirror sucks also. I primarily use side mirrors and the center mirror is for checking myself or my kids in the backseat. Can’t do that.

I really like the Toyota Tundra but the stories that I am hearing about motor recall is making me nervous about dropping close to $80,000 on one.

That only affects 22-23 models and it will actually turn out to be great for those who own vehicles with that engine since Toyota is giving everyone a new engine via safety recall. I have a 22 Tundra so I can drive this truck for 10 years and put 200K on it and then go and get a new engine put in it for free.

Yeah, I got that. Still have to hit it every time you get in there. I'd like to find a complete delete for it or at lest a code reader plug that stops it, like the one you can get for the variable displacement shite.

i drove around a hideous ram 2500 gas rental for about 10 days. was getting about 10mpg. frick that thing. didn't like it one bit. engine felt nice but the ride was shite. was a lower trim package.

I am stepping up to a 8500-9500 pound boat. I just cant trust my 1500 Silverado to safely pull and stop that. Probably a Siverado 2500 with the gas engine. Hopefully get something 1-2 years old

I am about to switch from a 1500 to a 2500 due to getting a bigger boat. I have been in the same quandary. I think I am going to just stick with gas and no do a newer diesel. I dont drive a lot of miles and honestly just dont want the headaches..

If you buy the new Godzilla gas 3/4 or 1 ton ford, whipple makes a supercharger for it now. And hooooo boy. It wakes that big engine up. You can tow anything with ease like diesel. And the price difference in the gas and diesel isn’t much different if you factor in the supercharger. Just have to pony up for install. Ford may have a kit that they would install and keep the warranty. There is a dealer somewhere doing that with v8 xl trim trucks and making dealer hot rods out of them.

It's really only 200,000, but you'll be so bored it'll seem like 300.

spending 80k on a truck is retarded, get a loaded out ram for half the cost.

If you know where this can be done please let me know.

Ram trucks increased their prices 50% over the past 3-4 yrs. Much higher price increase than any of the other manufacturers.

I don't think you will get a loaded Ram for 40,000

That radar cruise control is great, not sure what you are talking about. makes it way easier to use in more situations.

Seatbelt reminder is absolutely absurd...WTH was Toyota thinking.
Not a fan of the Rearview mirror option being a screen because it is blurry for me but there is an option not to use it. Real easy option.

You do realize there is a switch on the underside of the rear view mirror that allows you to put it into normal mode like every other rear view mirror in the world, right? It's not a permanent screen option.

No, like I said, it's my Dad's. I tried the buttons but apparently it's the lever used for intense glare block on a normal mirror. So what do you do for intense glare block? Why does annoyance come default? Get off my lawn
