Jesus. fricking. Christ.
$30 for a gram of the best of the best is a ripoff. $30 for reggie? That dealer laughed his arse off the second you turned around.

This is getting crazy. Was just part of a conference call last week about a national convention/conference meeting that dropped NOLA from consideration due to "safety concerns". The meeting planners were in NOLA for a site visit when the videos of the dudes getting attacked walking down the sidewalk were all over the news and then had their rental car broken into while here. They said "hell no".

Why do they never disclose descriptions of the suspects now?
Because we need to end the systemic problem of school to prison pipelines in our communities. Releasing the biometric data on these gentle giants simply creates more criminals, fear, and distrust in our communities.

I love the domestic disturbances by 'ex boyfriend' and 'known suspects' you posted to show how shitty the place is.
I'd be willing to bet with the amount of people in the quarter the last few days that the per capita crime rate isn't any worse than whatever redneck settlement you reside in. And that's with 90% of the people in the quarter having been drinking.

Time to get every citizen a pistol and the DA refuse to prosecute self defense in the quarter.

My rule of thumb is to never go north of Bourbon Street. This extends all the way to the Ponchartrain expressway

The loss of tourism, conventions, and conferences will be interesting to see the numbers this year compared to last.
Like the mayor said: we need to stay woke.

racial component to these random attacks/robberies
You know how many 'easy marks' that are black victims that are targeted across the city every damn day? You just don't hear about them..... these animals don't care if the person is black or white as long as they look defenseless and have a few dollars in their pocket
Please take that shite elsewhere

Any person who voluntarily visits that shithole is asking for trouble.

I am thinking it may not show up for awhile since most big meetings book years ahead. This meeting they were planning for wasn't until 2020. Once you sign the contract, it's hard to change. So, this year and next may not show a big decline but I would interested in knowing how many they are booking for future years right now.

We see several of these threads of the #boycottNOLA dumbasses but I haven't seen a single mention on the 10% raise and the shuffling announced this week with the NOPD or any good news from the city.
It's always an us vs them mentality on here.

Frankly, I don't GAF about the ones we 'don't hear about'. Hood problems. Me, my friends, or my family will never be caught in those areas. I do GAF about shite that happens in tourist areas where decent people are going to have a vacation and a good time (or volunteer on behalf of their gay friendly, super liberal church to serve the local poor/black community, only to get rolled by the very people they are trying to help). If NOLA loses tourism, then the whole city is sunk, and your friends in the hood will suffer the most. The fact is, middle and upper class white people walking the streets of the quarter these days have a target on their back. This has to change or things will get much worse.
