Next year is the city's 300 hundred year celebration and I bet they go over 11 million.
From October through May, check out the hotel occupancy rates, etc and it will tell you all you need to know.
Last weekend was a damn near full city and this weekend it will be full up.
There is a reason why it's been the #1 destination city for weddings for five years now.
The 6 out of town visitors I had dinner with Saturday night sure as hell enjoyed the place.

New Orleans IS the greatest city in the country - we've just allowed it to go to shite. I often dream about what an incredible place this city could be.

agree 100%. possibly the most unique city in America, and should easily be considered as one of the top 5 American cities for everyone to visit. however, i'd never dream of living there.
New orleans is the complete opposite of los angeles. Living in Los Angeles is great, but i have no clue why anyone would want to vacation here.

I do get spoiled being able to pop by on my way home from work whenever the fridge is getting empty. Coming into LA for a wedding this week, going to try to get out to Parish to check some beers out. The tap list is looking pretty light right now though.
