It's almost as if most Louisanans on this board are rooting for New Orleans to fail, which is strange, saddistic and also sort of sad.

Where are cars missing wheels and homeless people doing drugs?

Everything around the Super Dome needs a good pressure washing. Always looks bad in the aerial shots during ballgames. I have been saying this for years. A cousin of mine would probably do it for a very reasonable price.

The French Quarter, specifically, is an architectural gem with nice hotels, great food, and a fantastic music scene. With proper leadership, it could be an upscale travel destination. Canal Street should be filled with high-end tenants, not vape shops and vagrants. It really is sad what has become of it all.

The shot of the cars riding the Claiborne overpass exit lane and cutting over into the Bridge lane at the last second made me irrationally angry.

Though it is nice to know we can have a drone within bombing range there.

I celebrated a birthday there with friends. We are all old and in early Saturday night, but in meeting up Sunday morning for brunch, one guy didn't show. Turns out he was jumping over the street gravy and landed in a pile of red vomit that soaked his shoes and splashed all the way up his pants. He had to go back to the room to change. Ended up throwing his shoes, socks and pants away and having to shower. No way was he going to fly home with that mess in his suit case. He said the walk back to the room was brutal.

Really has some beautiful parts. I am in the city a lot. Almost never in FQ.

Sense many haters here generalize from the 700 block of Bourbon St far too much.

So much more to the place, and much of it is in the people.

Eating outside at Audubon Clubhouse in October is a nice experience. There are parts of New Orleans that are special and unlike any American city. Of course we all know the problems but there are nice things City Park is beautiful and much nicer now then pre Katrina

Oh

My

God

It punches above its weight for sure, no questions, but man that’s a little naive statement there

Flat city with an unimpressive skyline. Looks almost Midwestern. Should have shown the French Quarter with their architectural gems.

Yacht club at sunset watching the boats come in is very nice view CCC with the lights is nice to see Looking at downtown from Algiers point is cool Garden district university area etc the reason most people are frustrated with New Orleans is because it has so much untapped potential. Unfortunately it has been limited by its political leaders and citizens.

Huh? No one is ROOTING for Nola to fail. Nola failed on its own.

We'd love for the city to make a return to greatness but the fact of the matter is the city sucks at this moment.
