For all the ridiculous nonsense Landry throws into the news like the LSU national anthem and Ten Commandments in schools, he’s doing amazing things in the criminal justice world that aren’t immediately apparent.

Troop NOLA has been a massive success, as has the new LSP commander, who is an old school cop that encourages hardcore street work. Landry is also doing good things with the Probation and Parole world by making it much more likely a criminal gets revoked and shipped off to prison for years rather than the slap on the write JBE gave them.

I believe NOPD is making strides to fill it ranks, but it desperately needs people willing to do hard police work and not the goofs who they’re currently hiring that look like they belong in an art exhibit. Unfortunately, I don’t know if they’ll ever return to a respectable police force because it’s voters don’t want that.

I wish someone would get in Jeff Landry’s ear and tell him to drop the ridiculous dumb boomer shite and focus on his big successes like reduction of crime and empowering the police to be police. He’s pulling a Trump where all of his big successes are completely overshadowed by nonsense.
