One thing that caught my eye is that this happened in the Lower Garden District. I've been gone from New Orleans for a long time. Is that a bad area now?

Sadly, District Attorney "Einstein" will offer these thugettes a plea bargain with reduced charges to jay-walking and a $25 fine. Both will plead "no contest" and their cycle of criminal activity will repeat itself this weekend.

I went on the news tonight to demand policy changes after my husband and my friends were brutally attacked. How many people in this city need to be terrorized before our superintendent takes action? How many people need to die before our mayor calls in the National guard? I work for our mayor and I work for nopd. I want them to succeed but our people are in dire need right now. I will defend my city with everything I got. I want to help Madame Mayor! Theses are my requests.
I want to know my 6th district police officers again. What policy changed to where officers no longer visit the establishments in their district or talk to the residents? I want a major recruitment effort and until we reach 1500 officers, I want the National Guard here to protect us or we will defend ourselves!
