Interesting that the dude who shot Brandon Lee over the years was thought of as a sympathetic figure. Hell, even when brought up over the past few days on TD, the majority of posts were feeling sorry for him.
As many people have already pointed out, that actually was a blank round but there was a squib round, incredibly rare occurrence, unknowingly lodged in the barrel.

That would actually be a freak accident.

If that occurred here, I would state that Baldwin was completely free of blame.

But that wasn’t what happened here.

I’m an electrician… if another competent electrician tells me a bare wire is dead, I will still verify, with a meter, before I touch it. Every time… it’s my life in my own hands. The same goes for handling a firearm.

I was hesitant on whether I should reply to Klark or not, I'd hate for him to have another breakdown and start crying again and telling me not to reply to him any more.

I don't know, I hope Klark can handle this reply, but can't make any promises.

But with Baldwin, people have an entirely different mindset. Funny how that works...

Do you know the Brandon Lee story? How it happened, I mean?

Because his situation was totally different.

Now you know.

Don't agree with that. I had a rifle fire from pressure on the safety because a screw had worked loose in the trigger assembly. It isn't the case here but it certainly can happen.

It could be argued that you should have kept better care of your firearm. I get it, it's rare to check the screws on your trigger mechanism. Still ultimately could be said it's negligence.

Good. Please continue to do that.

I had an electrician client who had one of his experienced electricians die in a workplace accident because he didn't check the lock out-tag out on a circuit to a commercial sign he was working on. There was an OSHA investigation and a stiff fine, and the family got the Workers' Comp. death benefit. It's an inadequate remedy for a workplace fatality.

However, that's how this situation should be treated too.

Probably, but there are a lot of unknown factors that could push it further. I get that most on this board are overly interested in this topic due to politics, but there could be potential criminality. I think it is unlikely, but still see the possibility.

So you're saying people weren't doing exactly what they're doing now the moment this news broke before we had any clue what happened?

So funny watching people try to argue against the obvious.

Proved you wrong without having to do any of that.

You won't accept that you're wrong, we know that.

There is a zero percent chance Baldwin is convicted. We live in a different society from him. Those people have different rules.

I'm not convinced he should be. I am convinced he was negligent as hell and hope he loses everything in a lawsuit.

What?

You're not making any sense right now.

I hope it's ok replying to you though, I am a bit concerned every since what happened last time...that was pretty rough for you, I know.

hard to do when he pulled the trigger and more importantly as co-producer allowed this unsafe environment to fester.
