Vegas, SF, LA and I want to say DFW had a similar set up.

Vegas you had to walk what felt like a fricking mile to a parking garage

Didn't even bother with SF. Just took BART since my hotel was downtown.

I’ll take your word for it.

My driver usually just meets me at the baggage claim.

Definitely worth the extra money.

However if I’m flying out of MSY I’d rather drive my own truck.

It’s safer at Park N Fly than it is in my driveway

Improved quality of life? I guess you’ve never been to a decent airport before. Fly from MSY to Tampa and then you’ll appreciate a good airport (Tampa) vs an incredibly shitty one (New Orleans).

Made it from my gate into an Uber in under 10 minutes. The new terminal is beautiful, finally won’t be ashamed of the airport. It reminds me a little of IAH.

The new Uber setup is 1000% better than before.

When a Third World country like Panama has a nicer airport than a major US International Airport it’s time to upgrade.

So the traffic wasn’t as bad as predicted. There were only FIVE accidents recorded on the way to the airport after 2 PM today. LOL

So if you parked and flew out of the old terminal but fly back into the new terminal, is there a shuttle that takes you to the old garage?

Was one of the last Baws not employed there to walk through the building this evening and admire her brilliance and beauty.

Was an hour late having to de-ice in Denver when I don’t think they were expecting,

Arrive to the new modern marvel and the pilot pulls to the last gate and “jetwaybroke”, the grounds crew couldn’t get the jetway to extend out so we can deplane.

Recap:
Last plane to land
at the gate.
And stuck on the plane for nearly an hour.
Sitting next to an older NO black preacher that don’t care for fair skin and READY to get back from the west coast.

Allegedly.

Someone said they contracted out operations of the old garages and they provide the shuttle. Assume the shuttle is free and they make up that cost on the garage fee.

Yes. There were threee brand new shuttle busses sitting outside baggage claim.

Me and one other guy jumped on one and the guy said ‘let’s go’ and took us to the rental car area immediately.

Through the little industrial hood on the north side to vets then turn on the old airport road and go that way

All in all it’s a beautiful place, world class set up, just hope they can staff it properly.

It’s bigger than what i expected.

If MoPho would have been open I’d have grabbed a poboy

Now we need to let the lake reclaim the rest of Kenner so we could have some prettier views of Louisiana’s beauty.

ETA: side note young girl that works the graveyard at National rental, Terrance Marshall’s her lil cousin she said the kid and all his buddies in the team are fired up for Sat. Her whole family was group texting telling I’m don’t come back home without that w
