How bad was the recovery from the procedure, light enough that Advil does the trick or do you need a prescription pain med?

Not to mention the fact that while laying there looking at Ole Miss memorabilia on the wall with my shite out for everyone to see the Doc invites 3 more guys in to "sit in" on the procedure. Most uncomfortable hour of my life even with medicinal help.

Not bad at all. Had it done on Friday, was on a ladder hanging Christmas lights on Sunday.

This. BC is not side effect free. And it can cause blood clots and shite like that.
I have an IUD because the pill made me feel like crap. It's way more invasive having a t-shaped piece of plastic inserted into a uterus than a shot to the balls. But a baby in there would be worse.

Yeah for a couple of years there it was rough for my wife and I while she was on it. Thought it was because of military pressures/stuff going on, but the minute she got off of it, she was back to being the horny, less irritable gal I married. shite was like magic
She's never going back on it if I have a say. Already vowed I'll just get snipped after we're done having kids.

I'm not an overly emotional person, but I have a vivid memory of dropping a spoon on the floor & bursting into tears over it. It was ridiculous. I tried multiple brands & dealt with the side effects til I found a doc who would give me an IUD 6 years ago.
I'm not all "men need to be punished with shots to the balls!" at all. Just that it really isn't that bad if you don't want an unintended pregnancy.

Congrats. Yeah wifey tried a bunch of different brands, too, but nothing really worked (and both of us despise condoms). Once we left the military we were just like "frick it" and dropped the BC, and accidentally fixed the whole problem

Yup. Been there.
Have her take it out right before actual penetration. It'll still work if she puts it right back in afterwards.
