Wow. If they are too “afraid” to do simple tasks such as refueling their vehicle they SHOULD NOT be behind the wheel and (in control?) of a 2000 - 4000 pound missile going 50 - 70 miles an hour. Must be the ones I see leaning forward over the top of the steering wheel looking like they are petrified and like they can’t see or something.

I doubt any of this stuff is accurate.
However, if this is.....
then those who feel that way should never be allowed to drive. Ever. This is not exactly high level stuff. If you can't figure it out, particularly in world of smartphones, then you have no business operating a piece of heavy machinery.
You should be relegated to driving a bicycle...with a basket...and streamers

I don’t know anybody who this applies to.

About 10 years ago, I had a co-worker who was refueling her rental in some city, leaving her phone, purse and keys in the car. She only had the credit card out for the pump.
Just as she was replacing the pump nozzle, some guy opened the passenger door and grabbed her purse with all the cards, IDs, phone, etc. and ran.
She was on her way to the airport and did not have her passport, phone or anything aside from a company credit card.
Our company wired her some cash but it was challenging getting a new boarding pass to get home.

They kept calling gas "Petrol". Is this a European Muslim article?

1,000 percent blame the parents
This is the result of helicopter parenting and babying your kids
You think you are helping your kids but you are crippling them

“Filling up may seem like a simple, everyday task to many. But our research shows it’s a genuine source of anxiety for millions of drivers, particularly those that are younger or less experienced.
This is a new low.

People will jump to blame the Gen Zers for this when they really should be blaming everyone in their life that's not telling them "just go fill up your fricking car you retard"
You're right, of course, but it starts long before then.
Gen X is possibly the most independent generation in the last 100 years.
Why have we raised the most practically handicapped, non-functional generation in the last 100 years?

My wife works with a guy whose daughter has never put gas in her own car.
She's 20 years old.

Those drivers are cookie pusses, Harry.

My granddaughters peer group is a bunch of girls who dont drive. They are intelligent kids, but afraid of their own shadow and lacking confidence.
So my GD ends up driving them everywhere.

Outside of concerns over sky-high fuel prices, young drivers reported fears over parking close enough to the pump, identifying the correct type of fuel, or competently operating the petrol nozzle. Researchers said the stem of the worries related to fear of making a mistake in public.
Generation Z respondents also reported concerns over hygiene and a fear of queues.
Half of those who had the worries also admitted to letting their tank run “dangerously” low to put off having to go to the petrol stationquote:. A quarter said they had run out of petrol on the road after being so hesitant to refuel.
Roughly one in four people between the ages of 17 and 20 currently hold a full driving licence, according to figures released by the Ministry of Transport, down from almost one in two young adults in 1989.

I remember being like 5 or 6 years old arguing with my older brother who’s turn it was to get to fill up the tank in my mom’s 1974 Buick Regal. Hell, we thought it was a treat.

I can remember being nervous the first time I filled a car.
But I was also like 7 and my mom was making me fill up her car because that’s what you do.
How are parents fricking these kids up to this level?
