In Baton Rouge's case - it's going to be a couple of thousand (eventually) people.

Yeah i think the LR center (which is same scope as this one, without the 500k additional feet) has like 500+ employees. It really is incredible to watch the action inside. Feels like you are in an anthill from the future or something.

What's the plan for freight traffic? I imagine hundreds of deliveries per day? This thing isn't exactly in an easily accessible spot in terms of interstate access

I can only assume the state of Louisiana's department of transportation is planning to keep the onramp from Florida to Airline closed for another 2 years.

It's centrally located and at the intersection of two major highways, and fairly close to the airport. It's not a horrible location.

But Broom got a tax passed years ago to help the state widen Airline. And NONE of that work has even started. That's an issue.

I'm excited for some same-day delivery.

Yeah.....about that.

I may or may not live relatively close to an Amazon warehouse. It is a huge fricker with hundreds of trucks running all the time. I still struggle to buy anything off of Amazon and have it delivered even within the original Prime window, much less same-day or next-day.

I have yet to find a single item I actually need available for next day delivery. Not one thing. Zero. Nothing.

ETA: I have also yet to have anything I've purchased from Amazon actually shipped from that warehouse.

Tied to the issues with that are the damage to the Airline-Florida cloverleaf which has shut down one side of it facing Amazon.

Wow studies. They’ve been doing that for a “new bridge” and the BR loop since 2005.
