A NEW strain of deadly bird flu which kills 38 per cent of those infected and could spark a global pandemic has been identified in China. Scientists around the world believe the new pathogen, dubbed “Disease X”, could be as lethal as 1918 Spanish flu which killed up to 100million people.

quote:

“It’s possible that it could be the cause of the next pandemic.” In China, the deadly pathogen has killed 623 of the 1,625 people which have been infected.

quote:

While the virus cannot yet be passed from person to person, experts believe it is only three mutations away from being able to spread from human contact.

Well I thought I was upset because a girl I like wouldn't talk to me. This is a nice distraction.

As someone with an impeccable immune system, I’m not worried.

So this is why the Russians won't allow the Nigerians to take their chickens into the World Cup!

DuckDuckGo Search returning multiple sources for the World Cup chicken ban, take your pick from AP, Yahoo, BBC, Fox, Reuters...

Sensationalism by The Sun. This is from the World Health Organization:

This virus does not appear to transmit easily from person to person, and sustained human-to-human transmission has not been reported.

Something about that strain caused healthy immune systems to kick into overdrive and essentially start attacking that persons organs.

They always fear monger this shite.

100 million died in 1918 because medicine sucked in 1918. Had they had today's medicine it likely would have been a few million at most

If it will kill.38% of Chinese its going to beat the 100 million.mark by 2 billion.

It will end global warming and end the over fishing.

Everything is a blessing or test.
