Hyundai Santa Cruz — fun to drive, like a car but with a small bed for hauling stuff when needed.

We just bought my teenage daughter a Mazda CX 30 and it is FUN to drive. Definitely a little small for the whole family, but awesome gas mileage and the interior is very luxurious for the price.

If you don’t need much room the Toyota/Subaru GR86/BRZ is fun AF with the manual transmission. A 2800 lb car is very different from most sedans.

I just bought my wife a 2022 Accord Touring a few months ago.
I am happy as hell because we started at Audi A6 before she decided to go with the Accord because of the huge backseat and "pretty Sonic Gray color".
The 2L turbo is a really fun motor and it sips gas in eco mode.
I don't drive it often but when I do, it is enjoyable.

When I totaled my '06 Accord via Bambi, I planned to buy a '19 Accord Ex-i as a replacement. Found a dealer in AL with a '18 Touring he couldn't get rid of and took it for a song. Glad I decided to upgrade my choice.

the 2.0 Turbo is a fantastic engine.

Was literally going to start this thread before you did. Had a Hyundai Sonata that I've had for 10 years (12 years old) and is having an engine problems now and it's got a bunch of miles so I figured I'd get a new one soon.

The two I'd probably end up getting are either the Accord or Camry. I remember when I was in high school I ended up getting another Sonata (different car), but I definitely thought about the Accord or Camry. Very comfy, spatious everywhere, good gas mileage, and just reliable cars without any problems breaking down. My brother got a 2022 Accord recently and they're bad arse. I will probably end up going

1) Accord
2) Camry
The rest.

I recommend Sonata though I had 2 the past 15 years and until now, had issues whatsoever. They also have the best warranty of any car out there IMO. I just would get something different now, but I do also absolutely hate the look of the new Sonatas. They look ugly to me.

That’s bad arse. In a couple months I’m going to be in the market for a GX470. I’m actually going the opposite. Leaving a sales job where I drive a sedan all day. I want to buy an older 470 and build it to what I want.

They don’t make them anymore but I’ve got a scion xB. I absolutely love it. It’s fun to drive, has tons of room, handles really well and has plenty of pickup. You can get them used but the selection is limited because no one sells them.

Someone wrecked mine in front of my house. I could have bought anything to replace it. I purchased a used Scion xB. Nothing on the market compares to it. It’s the perfect practical car.

71k. The trade in value is between 24000 and 25,000, at least that’s what I was offered. Private seller blue book is 28000

Zero, nada, none

Anything you get right now is so over inflated in pricing. There is no deal.

It's an unpopular opinion around here but my commuter cars have been stick shift jettas. They don't suck to drive, are nicer and cheaper than most other options, and in my personal experience hold up very well. The 1.4 turbo engine is pretty peppy when spooled up and it gets around 40mpg on a typical highway commute.

What do you think of the air mattresses? I just got a 2020 and am going to be doing a few things to make it comfortable for overnights.

Volkswagen GTI

Find a 7.5. It’s better looking than the 8.0’s and doesn’t have the goofy electronic dash with too many menus. 30mpg and drives like a go kart. Usable interior space for 4. Look for an Autobahn version.
